Applying Timesheet Actuals in myPrimavera versus Project Management |

Problem: | When applying Timesheet actuals through myPrimavera, is Remaining Duration recalculated? |
Problem: | Which activity types are affected when the option is selected to calculate activity remaining duration based on activity duration type? |
Problem: | What happens when there are multiple resources assigned to the same activity and they submit different amounts of hours on their timesheets? |
Cause: | In Project Management, there is a Remaining Duration recalculation option when applying actuals from Timesheets. This option does not exist in myPrimavera. |
Cause: | The setting for “When actuals are applied from timesheets, calculate activity remaining durations” is stored per project. myPrimavera uses whichever setting was used when actuals were last applied in Project Management. The default, when a new project is created, is to Always Recalculate. |
Cause: | When the option to Recalculate Based on Activity Duration Type is selected, Remaining Duration is only recalculated for activities with a duration type of Fixed Units or Fixed Units/Time. When the option to Always Recalculate is selected, Remaining Duration for all activity types will be recalculated based on the equation (Remaining Duration)=(Remaining Units)/(Remaining Units/Time). |
Cause: | When multiple resources are assigned to the same activity, the Remaining Duration for each resource assignment is recalculated, and the longest Remaining Duration among the driving resource assignments is set as the Remaining Duration for the activity. Non-Driving assignments do not affect Remaining Duration. |
Fix: | The ability to set this option in myPrimavera is an existing Enhancement Request. It will be considered for a future release. |
