prim29235:How to stagger resource costs, to occur throughout different periods/times in an activity?

NOTE: The following steps create multiple resources/costs assigned to a single activity where the percent complete of the resource/cost is independent of the activity percent complete and the Update Progress tool will be used for all updates.

1. Assign non-driving resources to the activity.
   NOTE: The same resource can be assigned multiple times within the same activity.
    


2. To stagger the ‘Resource start’ and ‘Resource finish’, adjust the ‘Resource lag’ and ‘Resource duration’ fields, per resources.
    


3. Manually type in a “0″ (zero) in the ‘Percent complete’ field.
    


4. Enter the lump sum cost in the ‘At completion’ field of the Cost dialog box.
