Problem: | Applied Start on Constraint and the Activity is showing critical. |
Fix: | When scheduling, Primavera calculates both Early Dates and Late Dates for each of the Activities. Early Dates show the Earliest Dates the Activity can Start based on its Relationships and Constraints. The Late Dates show the latest the Activity can start based on its Relationships, Constraints and/or the End of the Project. The difference between the Early Dates and Late Dates represent the Total Float of the Activity. The default setting is to show any Activities with a Total Float of 0 or less as a Critical Activity. Constraints are designed to affect either the Early or Late Dates or both set of Dates at the same time. This, in turn, can affect the Total Float and thus the Criticality of the Activity.
