To use the attached Macro:
- Import the Export for Comparison report into Primavera Engineering and Construction.To do this, go to the Tools, Reports, Reports menu and right click.Select Import and browse to the Export for Comparison.ERP file.
- In Primavera, select the Edit, User preferences menu and Dates tab.Confirm that display time is turned off.
- In Primavera, select the Edit, Users preferences menu and Time Units tab.Confirm that show duration label is turned off.
- Open your project in Primavera and run the Export for Comparison report.In the Run Report dialog, select ASCII and select a file location.
- In P3, open your project and setup an Export that contains activity id, early start, early finish, remaining duration and total float.Export the file to a dBase format.
- Launch Excel and open the Macrofile document.Follow the instructions contained in the worksheet.
- Any place that you see no match found, there is a difference in the schedule dates in Primavera Engineering and Construction and P3.
- Correct the root cause of the difference in Primavera and schedule the project.Close the file in Excel, rerun the Export for Comparison report.Run the macro to see the impact of the changes in Primavera.
