Problem: | How is Variance Finish calculated? |
Fix: | A Variance Finish date is calculated as BL Finish – Finish. If no baseline is defined, the current project is used as the primary baseline. See also, Can Project Management select which dates to use when comparing baseline variances |
Fix: | At the summary level, the Variance Finish date is calculated as the latest finish date – the latest baseline finish date. The duration is then based of the global default calendar. |
Fix: | If the activity is a start milestone, then it will set the variance equal to the calculated Variance Start value. |
